We are looking for a bookkeeper who will maintain required financial controls and advise the principle or other school administrator on all finance and accounting tasks relating to campus rules, practices, record keeping, and reporting needs.

Qualifications:

• Check to see if cash handling procedures are being followed. Noncompliance is documented, and issues are addressed with the principal as needed.
• It is necessary to have a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or management.
• Check for money availability, disburse cash, and ask for administrative authorization before evaluating purchase orders vs activity funds.
• The candidate should have a good understanding of Clover Point of Sale (POS) and QuickBooks accounting software.
• Clerical responsibilities include things like answering the phone and using office equipment.
• Go to the bank as quickly as possible to recover any unpaid checks or insufficient funds.
• Dealings with route staff on a daily basis, which entails matching appropriate tickets.
• Make sure all of your financial records are up to date and accurate.
• Three years of bookkeeping experience are required for this position.
• Budget suggestions are kept on file until the budget is done.

Skills:

• Data entry abilities and a sense of math are needed.
• Knowing how to use Microsoft Excel is essential.
• Negotiation skills and a dedication to customer service are required.
• Good time management and organizing abilities are necessary.
• Accounting regulations for payables and receivables are well-known.
