Product must be transported from a distribution warehouse to retail locations across many states in an efficient and cost-effective manner by a Transportation Manager. Liaison with outside carriers on transportation and delivery issues. Serves as the site’s point of contact/liaison Promote the company’s key principles of fairness, honesty, and dependability by serving as a role model.

Qualifications:

• Facilitates teamwork by setting clear goals, delegating authority, and communicating those goals clearly. Maintains a steady flow of information. Ensures that personnel are educated. Educates, trains, and solves problems via meetings. Consistently improves customer service through educating and training employees on corporate policies and procedures.
• A performance review is conducted if and when necessary. Employees are given constructive feedback and guidance to help them better their work. With the help of management, employees are able to set their own goals for themselves. Creates and implements corrective steps to ensure that all employees are treated fairly and consistently. Quickly and effectively fixes problems that develop with workers.
• Ensures that transportation policies support and complement company objectives, purpose, vision, and values.
• Work on programs to meet identified needs. Employee training follow-up is important to ensure that staff are properly taught (e.g. customer service, equipment, and safety) Cross-trains personnel.
• Determines the rental and maintenance requirements of the equipment. Involved in implementing and maintaining the functioning of on-board and navigational computers.
• Utilize personnel management, which includes training and orientation of drivers and/or workers, as well as training and support with internal and third party (customer) systems.
• Conduct fleet operations and profitability analysis and provide suggestions for continuous improvement; identify and measure key performance indicators; and construct, manage, and deliver customer-specific reporting and financial analysis via face-to-face contacts at the customer’s location.
• Establish and maintain excellent professional relationships with drivers and outside carriers who are safe and trustworthy in order to enable a flawless set-up process for new carriers, decrease employee attrition, and enhance continuous productivity.
• Payroll, Net-Revenue budget management, driver counseling, accident reviews, filing and recording, resolving pay difficulties, evaluating P&L accounts, invoicing, and/or preparing operational or financial reports.
• Takes on the responsibility of helping to create and implement effective plans, budgets, policies, and procedures for transportation.

Skills:

• High school graduate or GED, three to four years of customer service experience in the transportation business, or administration, and/or 1-2 years of supervisory experience are required. It’s also necessary to resolve any salary issues.
• Social relationships that are both positive and focused, with a strong emphasis on providing excellent service to customers and managing vendors effectively are required.
• talents in areas like as analysis, finances, judgment, and decision-making are required. the ability to negotiate, as well as a persistent desire to improve.
• A history of working with computerized log systems, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint experience is required, as well as experience with other Microsoft Office applications.
• Manage a wide range of company activities while ensuring adherence to corporate policies and financial obligations. The ability to identify problems, investigate them, and find solutions
