We’re seeking for someone to join our team as a Delivery Driver! As a Delivery Driver, you’ll be responsible for providing covering for our Tanker and Box Truck Drivers, as well as handling inventory and loading and unloading vehicles at the warehouse.

Qualifications:

• Check the purchase order and packing slip against the product description and the number of items. When a shipment is sent without a packing slip, you can make a new one.
• Follow the company’s safety rules, the rules of the Department of Transportation, the rules of the Alcoholic Beverage Control, and the policies and procedures for warehouse delivery.
• The pick-up and delivery of components to the branch or client is performed by purchasing parts from suppliers on “”fill in”” purchase orders.
• Maintains the security of the facility by ensuring that all exit points are either secured or staffed during business hours. May also be responsible for locking or checking all locked doors after work hours.
• Physically loads the Company truck at the branch and evaluates the vehicle’s condition, the manifest, and other papers related to the deliveries to be delivered.
• Document on the packing slip any damaged products, missing items, or other issues; take the necessary steps to resolve the issue with the shipper or vendor.
• Daily interactions with clients include providing service information and addressing any and all queries.
• Complying with all safety rules and procedures at all times; ensuring that health and safety is always a top concern.
• A delivery route or specified priorities may dictate the supply of generic office supplies to several facilities and consumers.
• Chauffer the vehicle to the place of the delivery, verifies the order with the client, unloads the merchandise for inspection, and then receives the customer’s confirmation signature and payment.

Skills:

• When physically loading and unloading trucks and storing merchandise, it needs regular bending and climbing as well as lifting up to 75 pounds.
• Maintain a clean driving record and a current driver’s license. To be eligible for the company’s safety program, a driver must be at least 21 years of age and a clean driving record.
• Sitting, standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, climbing, and stair climbing are only some of the physical tasks required for this work. In order to drive, you have to spend a lot of time sitting down.
• Diploma or GED preferable. Some college courses and warehouse/driving experience required.
• Skills needed include basic mathematics, route map analysis, interacting with customers, coworkers, and supervisors, and using a smartphone or tablet effectively.
