The Associate Tax Position is responsible for providing assistance to the Director of Tax and the Tax Senior Manager in all aspects of tax accounting. The Tax Associate is in charge of ensuring tax regulations are followed and preparing tax accounting support schedules, particularly with regards to calculating income and related taxes. The Tax Associate will interact with and contribute to the work of the accounting and finance teams.

  • You will be responsible for reconciling the general ledger accounts for taxes covered by the Tax Receivable Agreement (“TRA”), such as those relating to international withholding, franchise/gross receipts taxes, and other taxes, against the income tax balances (i.e., income tax due, deferred tax assets and liabilities).
  • Draft internal memos, customer correspondence, and research and formulate recommendations for a variety of tax difficulties
  • Build your organizational, professional, and social abilities to better manage your time and interact with others in your personal and professional life.
  • Any and all practices, including fraud, that don’t meet legal requirements must be reported to higher ups.
  • In accounting school, students learn how to create personal balance sheets and net worth statements using data gleaned from bank accounts and other resources.
  • Supervise and aid in the preparation of all tax-related documentation, including returns, extensions, payment forecasts, and so on.
  • Tax returns, equalization calculations, and other miscellaneous tax forms for expats, foreign nationals, and other mobile and distant assignees; prepares projection estimates for overseas assignment costs.
  • Adhering to the Bank Secrecy Act and other applicable regulations and laws, such as the Anti-Money Laundering legislation and the company’s own internal policies and processes.


  • Transportation to and from the workplace, as well as to and from meetings with clients and other business-related occasions, must be dependable.
  • Instruction manuals, operating and maintenance guidelines, and safety guidelines need to be read and comprehended. Ability to effectively provide information and respond to inquiries from company staff and the public using the written word. There needs to be good communication amongst people. Operations on whole integers, common fractions, decimals, and all units. Skill in creating and interpreting bar graphs.
  • Professional who is well-organized and adaptable, and who has handled multiple projects and procedures within a firm and with external stakeholders while meeting or exceeding all deadlines.
  • Fluency in English is required, along with a CPA certification and at least three years of tax experience gained working in the corporate tax department of a large accounting firm.
  • Knowledge of and practice with telephones, computers, printers, copiers, and fax machines. Having a comfortable level of proficiency with commonly used software packages including Microsoft Office, Google Sheets, and Oracle. Computer literacy is highly valued.
