Job Description

The Tax Associate will work closely with other members of our team on all aspects of project and engagement management for several clients within our International Accounting Firm. In addition to assisting with client management and practice expansion initiatives, you will also be responsible for preparing and reviewing tax returns, as well as dealing directly with clients to provide planning, counseling, and compliance information.

  • Maintain vigilance over all filings and compliance, and help with tax returns, extensions, estimated payments, and other compliance tasks.

  • Responsible for reporting to management any suspected or verified instances of fraud or other practices that violate applicable regulations.
  • Tax receivable agreement (“TRA”) general ledger accounts, including foreign withholding tax and franchise/gross receipts taxes, must be reviewed and reconciled, as must income tax balances (including income tax due and deferred tax assets and liabilities).
  • Adhering to the Bank Secrecy Act and other applicable regulations and laws, such as the Anti-Money Laundering legislation and the company’s own internal policies and processes.
  • Accounting fundamentals can be learned by keeping a journal of financial dealings, keeping an online or paper balance sheet, and analyzing tax returns.


  • Proven ability to multitask well and meet demanding deadlines in both personal and professional contexts.
  • To be qualified for this role, you need to have a Bachelor’s degree. in Accountancy and a Certified Public Accountant. This position also requires three to six years of tax experience, either at a large CPA firm or in the corporate tax department of a publicly traded company.
  • In order to get to and from work, as well as meetings and client interactions, you’ll need a reliable means of transportation.
  • Essential to every occupation is the ability to read and comprehend relevant documentation, including but not limited to safety standards, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Regular report and communication writing skills are crucial. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with company staff and the general public is essential. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential. The capacity to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, utilizing whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals, in all units of measurement. Ability to work with percentages, ratios, and rates; making and analyzing bar graphs
  • Proficient proficiency with electronic communication tools such as the telephone, computer, printer, copier, and fax machine. Possessing advanced computer skills is advantageous. This includes the ability to use word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
