The Hotel Front Desk is in charge of all Hotel Front Desk duties. The Hotel Front Desk will verify that the company complies with all federal, state, and local employment regulations. As with other members of the Hotel Team, the Hotel Front Desk is expected to behave himself/herself in a way that exhibits initiative, professionalism, personal awareness, honesty, and confidentiality in the relevant areas of his/her performance.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent service to guests entails welcoming them with a warm smile and supporting them in acquiring information about the guest and things to do in the nearby region. Over and beyond finding innovative ways to make money, the hotel places a high value on the guest experience.
  • Make a positive contribution to the accomplishments of a number of different departments, among which are Breakfast, Social, Housekeeping, and Laundry, amongst others. It is imperative that the hotel’s toilets, lobby, and any other public facilities be kept spotless at all times.
  • As soon as they enter the business, greet them with a grin and a warm greeting. Accurate information regarding outlet hours and surrounding attractions should be supplied in a joyful tone of voice and in a way that is simple for the guest to understand.
  • It is imperative that hotel information, including communications, reports, and files, be kept discreet and secure at all times. Taking care of all reservation requests, both incoming and outgoing, Take care of lost and found things in accordance with the General Manager’s instructions.
  • Fill out your guests’ registration forms and make sure they have all the information they need before they arrive. Accept credit cards and photo IDs, write down the information on the guest’s account, and give guests their change when they need it.
  • At the time of departure, close guest accounts and assess their level of satisfaction. In the case of discontent, investigate and seek to fix the issue in accordance with established rules; this may include referring the issue to a supervisor.
  • Make a daily cash report, balancing payments and withdrawals with the totals from the machines. Make a deposit slip and help the Guest Services Manager by giving him or her a summary of the day’s bank status. As needed, ask for changes.
  • Giving all guests prompt, polite, and professional service, Maintain a high level of service and hospitality. Take care of guest problems and complaints as quickly and as well as you can.
  • Excellence in people shows a passion for service, customer service, and teamwork. Product excellence – provide friendly, smiling service and a swift, accurate check in.
  • Responsible for keeping the hotel clean as a whole. This includes helping the manager clean any areas of the hotel that need it, such as the front desk, employee break room, guest laundry, fitness room, vending areas, stairwells, and common areas.

Skills:

  • Ability to work well with both internal and external customers, some of whom will need a lot of patience, tact, and diplomacy to calm down, get correct information, and help solve problems.
  • Advanced computer abilities needed to quickly and accurately enter data. Early warning of a calamity is crucial.
  • The ability to stand and walk about the front office while doing essential professional duties is an absolute need. In English, the ability to read, listen, and speak fluently.
  • The completion of high school or its equivalent is necessary, A working knowledge of computers is essential, Experience working at hotel front desks, minimum of three years’ worth
  • The ability to run the property management system technology is required. It is required to be able to go through all shift reports and conduct the audit function as needed and assigned.
