The role of the Research Assistant is to educate potential participants and recruit them for the research study. Performs all steps in the research process in accordance with established procedures, including data collection, processing, and analysis.

Qualifications:

• Carries out research tasks according to research guidelines, with broad supervision.
• Keeps an adequate supply of laboratory and/or other supplies on hand to support research activities. guarantees the quality of the materials or reagents used.
• deploying interactive geospatial apps (using serverless APIs) to testing and production settings for geographic decision support systems.
• Coordinates with other research staff as needed and provides support to other assistants to ensure efficient, timely, and high-quality results. Handles issues or questions involving both easy and difficult jobs.
• leading and contributing to the writing of articles for submission to scholarly journals.
• data processing and collection automation for near-real-time applications.
• Attending seminars, workshops, and other forms of continuous education is an option.
• keeps all necessary records (notebooks, forms, databases, etc.) in a timely fashion and to the highest standards of accuracy throughout the research process.
• honors all laws, rules, and regulations set out by institutions of higher learning and government.
• Analysis of uncertainty in respect to known parameters, input data, and observed states.

Skills:

• The ability to effectively communicate findings in writing and in person to audiences both inside and outside of one’s scientific field.
• skills in data collection, analysis, and visualization (including the ability to develop presentations, graphs, and spreadsheets).
• Makes decisions on their own accord within their remit. It’s possible you’ll need to take the reins on some aspects of the project.
• Bachelor’s degree with two years of relevant experience (data visualization);
