Processes associated time reports in accordance with the required rules and procedures (manual reports and reports from the automated timekeeping system). Qualifications:

  • Responsible for understanding payroll processing needs and providing operational unit assistance.
  • To ensure that all current employee payroll runs are properly processed and reviewed including bi-weekly and retroactive as well as commission and compensation payment payrolls is the responsibility of the Payroll Coordinator. This necessitates the entry of all payroll data, including that of new employees, address changes, direct deposit account information, salary changes, deductions, exception hours, and overtime, payments upon termination or retirement, and modifications to tax withholding. Asserting that the hours and adjustments submitted are correct and launching the check printing procedure.
  • Maintains payroll records and keeps track of balances for hourly workers, including those for vacation, holidays, voluntary deductions (such as a tool program, retention incentives, and employee reimbursements for safety glasses and shoes), and labor expenses.
  • Make sure supervisors sign off on biweekly timesheets, go through timesheet inputs for corrections, answer questions from staff members and supervisors, and input hours into the payroll module.
  • Performs related administrative tasks; creates and updates forms as needed; conducts cross-training in other fiscal functions; provides information and assistance to employees, customers, and the public regarding accounting and payroll-related issues; researches problems and initiates problem resolution; conducts research for special projects. Other responsibilities may be allocated. It is necessary to be able to cope successfully with stress and time constraints.
  • Help with several auditing responsibilities for the payroll manager (collecting and organizing supporting documentation)
  • Keep an eye out for any potential problems with our payroll supplier and serve as a go-between to get them resolved.
  • The payroll will become more effective as we expand if you can identify and suggest process changes.
  • Manages employee timecards and schedules in collaboration with plant managers, offering training as necessary. Improving the speed and accuracy of information transmission in collaboration with human resources.
  • Reacts to payroll questions, troubleshoots timekeeping system problems, and assists in resolving payroll inconsistencies.

Skills:

  • Independent thinking skills, a strong work ethic, and a dedication to the company’s objective as well as to its clients, employees, and team members.
  • Certification as a Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) is preferred, although an associate’s degree or three years of recent payroll processing experience would suffice.
  • Must comprehend and be able to compute various incentive compensation schemes. Detail-oriented individual with excellent communication and data entry abilities.
  • This position requires at least two years of payroll processing and tax compliance research experience.
  • It would be preferable if you have proficiency with contemporary computer software systems during the first six months of work, such as email, calendar applications, job-specific software, and customer service systems.
