This situation calls for a document control specialist. This position can include frequent travel to a distant location depending on the needs of the client. The ideal applicant will be well-versed in both the Project Management Information System and Microsoft Office. They will need to work well with a big team and communicate well with each person in order to fulfill various deadlines.

  • Collaborate with the design groups to sort the drawing sets and the company’s computer system. Each shipment is checked to make sure it satisfies the customer’s specifications before it is sent out.
  • Take charge of the storage, access, and dissemination of sensitive data.
  • Assist project managers in dealing with payment requests, change orders, submittals, and requests for information (RFIs).
  • Create reports utilizing tried-and-true templates and techniques.
  • Assist the Project Managers and Project Team with all aspects of project documentation, including document control and delivery.
  • Assist the project managers by taking notes in meetings, updating the status of the project, and keeping track of payments, modification orders, requests for information, and completed work packages.
  • You will need to manage all project-related documentation using the document control software that is integrated with our client’s project management system.
  • Establish and maintain a project document filing system in accordance with established procedures.
  • Observe CRIM’s guidelines when it comes to the Records Control Schedule. Part of this involves coordinating with external databases and archives.
  • Help project managers create change orders, notices to proceed, requests for quotes, and other general letters.


  • Experience working in a construction setting, as well as familiarity with the construction process and the importance of coordinating with a wide range of professionals, are both highly valued.
  • preferable two (2) years’ worth of knowledge in data management and document processing
  • The Microsoft Office Suite is necessary. Excel proficiency is necessary. It’s necessary to have prior Bluebeam/Adobe Acrobat experience.
  • exhibited knowledge of common Document Control devices and software, such as scanners.
  • It is preferred, and knowledge with e-Builder is very desirable, to have experience implementing and using document control software.
