We want a Staff Accountant to compile, compute, and reconcile various business and departmental procedures for our accounting and financial reporting department. The role entails technical and accounting responsibilities essential for effective management and accounting reporting. This employee will assist with daily accounting processes, month-end financial close, interim audits, and ad hoc projects.

Qualifications:

• Filing, copying, collating, and entering data are examples of clerical responsibilities required by the accounting department.
• Clerical responsibilities include things like answering the phone and using office equipment.
• Obtain any insufficient funds or returned checks from the bank as soon as feasible.
• The grant administration job will be aided by billing and tracking grant money and expenses on a monthly basis.
• To create and maintain collaborative connections, work with Club staff, Development staff, service providers, and vendors.
• You will set up, classify, check, and maintain electronic files for Accounts Payable Invoices.
• To ensure the accuracy and integrity of the financial statements, daily recording methods, month-end closing, and the implementation of adequate internal controls are all required.
• Check to see if cash handling procedures are being followed. Noncompliance is documented, and issues are addressed with the principal as needed.
• Strong knowledge of Clover POS and QuickBooks accounting software.
• Adjustments to the general ledger and account reconciliations

Skills:

• The candidate should be computer literate, with familiarity with Microsoft Office, Outlook, and accounting databases.
• Working with individuals both on-site and remotely, including across time zones, is a must.
• This job needs strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• To be considered for this position, you must possess a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or management.
• It is crucial to have a comprehensive accounting experience of at least 3-5 years.
