As a Plumber Helper, you’ll install, repair, and troubleshoot plumbing in our housing complexes. This role will work with the plumbing team to detect plumbing problems and make repairs.

Qualifications:

• Get familiar with isometrics, single line drawings, double line drawings, shop fabrication drawings, and mechanical schematics by practicing your reading and comprehension abilities.
• To lift and lower weights, different rigging tools are used. Increase the pressure in the pipes to see if any leaks show up, then watch the gauges connected to the pipes for any signs of leaks.
• Assist with the installation and maintenance of multifamily apartment fixtures such as sinks, toilets, showers, and bathtubs. Determine the cause of plumbing problems and malfunctions and execute repairs as specified in work orders.
• inspects the structure with the use of assistance to determine any blockages that need to be avoided in order to prevent the structure from becoming weaker as a consequence of the installation of pipe.
• Assists plumber in all areas, studies construction plans and working drawings to establish work aids and installation sequence.
• Assembles and installs valves, pipe fittings, and pipes made of metals like iron, steel, brass, and lead, as well as nonmetals like glass, vitrified clay, and plastic.
• Repair or construct plumbing equipment and fittings in compliance with project specifications or plumbing standards. Installation and laying of PVC pipes
• The use of various hand and power tools, as well as instructions from a supervisor, was required to assemble valves (metal or nonmetal), and pipes (nonmetal or metal).
• Hand tools may be used to maintain hydraulic and pneumatic components such as pumps and cylinders. Install and repair pneumatic and hydraulic controls and pipes, as well as pumps and meters, using hand and power tools and drawings and specifications.
• Locates and identifies the location of pipes and pipe connections as well as passage holes for pipes in walls and floors. Cuts apertures as well as threads, bends, connects, and caulks pipe.

Skills:

• High school diploma or GED; six months to a year of job-related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• The ability to operate fundamental hand tools, such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and hammers. mastery of the fundamental hand tools used in the plumbing profession, operation of standard plumbing equipment, and the ability to identify and troubleshoot probable plumbing issues are all required.
• Quickly and simply installing PVC, bolting up flanges, and sweating copper, among other tasks. Excellent verbal and writing communication abilities, as well as the ability to recognize and resolve complicated challenges.
• Capability to operate autonomously with little oversight, Capacity to function successfully in a team setting, A valid driver’s license and dependable transportation to and from work are required.
• It is important to be able to read and understand documents like safety standards or operating procedures. The capacity to consistently provide standard reports and messages.
