The ideal candidate for the position of Warehouse Worker will be passionate, self-motivated, and reliable. To help the facility meet its productivity and quality goals, you will be tasked with performing warehouse duties such as order picking, packaging, sorting, and shipping. As the name implies, a Warehouse Worker’s day-to-day activities take place in a warehouse, where they are involved in the production process. As an employee, you will primarily be responsible for pulling orders, packing orders, and sorting orders for delivery. To succeed in the role of Warehouse Worker, you need the ability to work well with others. You need to be able to talk to your boss and your coworkers like it’s no big deal. Candidates should be self-motivated and have prior experience working in a warehouse setting.

Qualifications:

• It is the warehouse’s duty to ensure that all products have adequate storage space and to notify the supervisor of any inventory problems, such as the failure to locate missing, damaged, or expired stock.
• Providing excellent service to customers requires finishing tasks on time and paying close attention to detail.
• Determines what materials need to be transported, collected, or distributed by reading the production schedule, order forms (customer, work, and/or shipping), or requisitions. Constructs worksheets or tickets per client specifications. Inside the warehouse, you’ll be responsible for transporting goods to the appropriate location (shipping, production, or storage) in accordance with the established schedule and operating procedures.
• Doable to lift 50 pounds if proper safety measures are taken.
• In order to keep the workplace risk-free for everyone, it is imperative that all employees abide by SOPs.
• Sorts of materials and stock on racks, shelves, or bins in a preset order, such as size, color, kind, or product code; receives incoming materials and labels them with identifying information; keeps track of the quantity of material received. Gather the necessary materials for the order.
• Supplies production workers or assembly line employees with materials, tools, or other stock items in response to requisitions, work orders, or other requests.
• Put together loads at the picking point with a motorized pallet jack or forklift in accordance with the load sheet or audio equipment for voice picks (if applicable)
• picking, tallying, and packing specific items in accordance with established procedures
• As a Warehouse Employee, your duties will include loading and unloading trucks, sorting and staging goods, and transporting them to and from the warehouse.

Skills:

• Constant physical exertion is required, such as bending over to pick up objects, stooping to handle large or awkward equipment, or walking for long distances.
• Applicants should have experience operating order selector/pickers, pallet jacks, and forklifts.
• All full-time employees should be flexible enough to work overtime if needed.
• The way in which you interact with your coworkers, your department, and the public at large is crucial.
• Certification as an operator of material handling equipment is required (MHEO).
