Job Description

A Plumber Helper must be able to assist in the assembly, layout, installation, and maintenance of chemical, fluid, or gas piping systems. Pipe, flanges, supports, valves, gauges, hangars, and angles are among the pipe systems that may be used. This role may work in buildings, on the exterior, or within structures, such as tanks or boilers, on the construction or maintenance site. Working in subterranean (excavation) locations and working at heights are also possibilities.

Qualifications:

• The use of various hand and power tools, as well as instructions from a supervisor, was required to assemble valves (metal or nonmetal), and pipes (nonmetal or metal).
• Responsible for ensuring that the Plumber’s tasks are completed on schedule and efficiently.
• Master the ability to read and interpret isometrics, single line drawings, double line drawings, shop fabrication drawings, and mechanical schematics.
• Assist with the installation and maintenance of different bathroom and kitchen fixtures in our multifamily property portfolio. Following the instructions on work orders, diagnose and repair issues with the water supply.
• Hydraulic and pneumatic components such as pumps and cylinders, for example, may be serviced using hand tools. Using hand and power tools, install and repair pneumatic and hydraulic controls and pipelines, as well as pumps and meters, according to designs and specifications.
• Assembles and installs metal and nonmetal valves, pipe fittings, and pipes made of iron, steel, brass, and lead, as well as glass, vitrified clay, and plastic.
• Performs inspections of the structure with the assistance of others to identify any obstructions that must be avoided to prevent the structure from weakening as a result of pipe installation.
• Lift and lower weights with the use of slings, chains, shackles, hooks, cables, and other types of rigging equipment. Increase the pressure inside the pipes of the piping system being tested for leaks while monitoring the gauges that are connected to the pipes for indications of leakage.
• Assemble or repair plumbing fixtures and equipment in compliance with a certain project’s specifications or plumbing laws. Laying and installation of PVC pipes

Skills:
