The Mortgage Loan Operation’s Loan Processor acts as the primary point of contact for borrowers. Agents who handle loans communicate with borrowers verbally and in writing. As well as assessing and requesting underwriter-required paperwork before a file can be closed, this team will also index newly received documents in the appropriate locations. It is up to the Loan Processor to determine when a loan is ready for review. In order to keep Sales (Loan Officers) up to date on the status of loans in the pipeline, Loan Processors manage this information. As a Loan Processor, it will be your responsibility to carry out transactions in accordance with established procedures and deadlines, review and validate the inputs of other team members, and assist with training, daily operations reviews, and escalation resolution in order to meet service level agreement targets for the applicable process within established procedures, policies, and norms.

  • Loan officer, vendors, and borrowers are all treated to top-notch service.
  • Constructs affirmative and negative responses and dispatches them. Customers who need further explanation or assistance are referred to Loan Officers and other Licensed personnel.
  • To guarantee prompt processing of conforming loan files, gather and record customer information as soon as possible.
  • After making sure everything in the mortgage loan file is correct and comprehensive, you can decide what else needs to be added.


  • The state requirements stipulate that the individual possess a Mortgage Loan Originator License that is both current and effective.
  • ability to build rapport with loan officers, producers, underwriters, and closers, as well as other partners inside and outside the company.
  • Through your work in Empower or other mortgage loan applications, you’ve managed a large number of relationships with loan officers.
  • expert understanding of the proper documentation to complete consumer mortgage applications (e.g., complex tax returns, financial statements and records, verification of income and deposits, etc.).
  • Preferable is practical knowledge of real estate documentation, underwriting guidelines, compliance, and practices.
