Lifeguards are responsible for keeping an eye on the pool and its visitors, making sure everyone is safe from harm, and implementing safety rules and procedures in the event of an emergency. The ideal candidate would be someone who can effectively multitask both independently and within a larger team setting. Ability to interact with the public in a courteous and professional manner is essential for this position. It’s possible that nighttime, weekend, and reduced-hour lifeguard shifts will be necessary.

Qualifications:

• To get the pool and pool area ready for the summer, you’ll need to do things like wash the pool, wash the pool decks, clean and reposition the pool furniture and lifeguard equipment, clean the bathhouse, clean the fence, and clean the flower bed areas.
• Delivers first-rate support by responding to members’ and guests’ questions and concerns with courtesy, providing accurate and timely information specific to their area of responsibility, and handling complaints effectively and expeditiously.
• Maintains a safe work environment by following and enforcing all policies, rules, and laws, as well as all pool safety standards and procedures.
• One of a pool safety manager’s primary responsibilities is to enforce compliance with all relevant policies, rules, and laws.
• Aquatics coordinators are responsible for coordinating the club’s swimming lessons, group swims, and other aquatic program activities.
• Provide water safety services, including monitoring and rescue, and help prevent accidents.
• You’ll need strong language skills—specifically, fluency in English—to do the job, as well as the ability to read, write, understand, and communicate effectively.
• Responsible for upholding and enforcing all Club regulations pertaining to the use of the pool by members and guests.
• When it comes to the health and well-being of the pool’s visitors, nothing beats swimming lessons and Family Hours.
• You should maintain a spotless pool area, kitchen, restrooms, and drains.

Skills:

• The ability to network effectively with other employees, departments, and the general public is crucial.
• For this role, you’ll need to have completed high school or have a General Equivalency Diploma (GED).
• Right now, the American Red Cross mandates that all professional rescuers receive training in CPR, lifeguarding, and community first aid.
• There is a critical demand for professionals who can work with children and people who have disabilities.
• Three months’ worth of lifeguarding experience is preferred.
