Qualifications:

• Strike a balance between business needs and technological and procedural constraints, avoiding bottlenecks and keeping escalations under control.
• Build a system for assessing key performance indicators, milestones, and other events and activities (KPIs).
• Assist functional areas with technical accounting issues, fixing and documenting them in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and Securities and Exchange Commission guidelines. The world’s financial team needs education and guidance on how to deal with these issues.
• Make sure the company’s finances are being managed properly by working with auditors.
• Capacity to institute a culture of Continuous Improvement and develop accounting and financial systems.
• Make suggestions regarding the plans and investing activities of the company.
• Considerations include costs, pricing, variable contributions, sales results, and the company’s actual performance in comparison to the business plans.
• Discuss business strategy and future decisions with colleagues from around the organization.
• Management should receive financial reports and information, as well as suggestions for upcoming actions.
• As required by government regulations, assist with the creation of withholding tax, value-added tax, income tax, and other tax returns, as well as the relevant paperwork and schedules.

Skills:

• It is encouraged, but not essential, that applicants have a bachelor’s degree in economics, finance, or business administration, or a degree that includes significant quantitative coursework (MBA preferred).
• The applicant needs to be a natural leader with a strong desire to grow professionally.
• Competence in leading and fostering the professional growth of financial team members.
• Possessing advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, Hyperion, and SAP is a plus.
• Familiarity with online collaboration platforms.
