Job Description

The Facilities Manager oversees the construction, renovation, and upkeep of the company’s physical structures and infrastructure. The individual in this role is responsible for estimating the time and money needed to make renovations to a facility, as well as the expenses of any necessary new pieces of equipment, storage space, and manpower. The Facilities Manager ensures that the company’s physical spaces are always audit-ready and in compliance with local, state, and federal standards.

  • Works to pursue opportunities aimed at maximizing the return on all assets associated with the facility. This includes taking the leading role to address all operational and technical issues in order to capitalize on the opportunities.
  • works tirelessly to improve the facility’s performance and condition and bears primary responsibility for all operating expenses.
  • Keeps an eye on the competition, price, and market trends in regards to utilities, competitors, and other companies.
  • Coordinates all outage and maintenance planning, utilizing both corporate and regional resources as necessary for maximum efficiency.
  • Keeps up-to-date knowledge of all applicable environmental legislation and permits, and runs the facility in a way that complies with them.
  • Organizes staff efforts to address issues and seize opportunities, and inspires the group to foster both personal and professional development.
  • has a firm grasp on all corporate safety laws and regulations pertaining to facility management, and runs things in a way that prioritizes the well-being of employees and visitors.
  • maximizes the revenue generated by the facility’s operation and upkeep.
  • engages in public discourse to promote company growth and neighborhood education.
  • protects the company’s long-term interests by making sure all contracts are honored.


  • experience with local environmental and emergency response authorities and their respective legal requirements.
  • Ability to work well with others and communicate effectively at all levels of the organization, including upper management, vendors, and support employees.
  • Capacity to take charge, collaborate effectively, and successfully wrap up projects
  • requires a minimum of three years of experience, up to two of which must be in management.
  • The ability to multitask effectively and the ability to organize one’s time effectively are essential.
