Job Description

The purpose of this position is to enhance brand performance, increase brand equity, and increase market share. The Marketing Associate assists the Brand Manager in establishing the Consumer Communications and Innovation Strategies for the Brand and supports the Brand Team in its quest of insights that enable the team to truly understand its consumer and create compelling brand experiences. The marketing associate is in charge of organizing and carrying out tasks connected to the marketing manager’s plans for the brand’s communications and innovation. In order to assist communications strategy, planning, and implementation, this function communicates with agency partners. By engaging with sales, shopper marketing, operations, product development, and finance on numerous efforts aimed at driving demand, this job supports a brand’s communication and innovation activities.

Qualifications:

  • Utilizes market, brand, customer, and consumer trend data to assist Manager in creating annual plan to closely coordinate Marketing and Sales efforts to produce the best demand for the brand.
  • Utilize digital intelligence tools to explore the consumer/brand demand landscape.
  • Take charge of initiatives to spread the word about the brand’s commitment to consumers’ nutrition, health, and happiness, and look for ways to improve the brand’s current offerings.
  • Manage agencies and cross-functional teams, develop and implement a strategy, plan, and execute on an actionable plan, and track progress toward goals while communicating with targeted audiences.
  • In order to generate pertinent communications and innovation, support the brand’s need for customers to recognize and comprehend what the brand stands for in their minds, including brand identity, essence, vision, mission, and core values.
  • Manage consumer communications initiatives that create a creative space that breathes life into the brand and facilitates efficient customer communication using a digital and social first approach.
  • Manage brand initiatives and assignments in a way that exhibits knowledge of critical consumer insights and the ability to apply them in relevant communications and innovation efforts.
  • By analyzing market and consumer data and trends, you can have a better understanding of the demographics, psychographics, and behavioral drivers of the brand’s consumer, or of a specific consumer segment.
  • Assist in identifying optimal engagement strategy and campaign structure to reach consumers when and where they are most receptive.
  • Prove that you can select investments that balance risk with return. Demonstrate that you are capable of keeping projects on track and within their allotted budget. You need to be proactive in seeking out opportunities and leading initiatives that help deliver the brand’s promise of improved nutrition, health, and well-being to consumers.

Skills:

  • All applicants must have a bachelor’s degree and at least three years of relevant job experience in consumer marketing, brand management, or product management. Alternatively, a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA), Marketing, Commerce, or a similar field is required.
  • Preference should be given to applicants with experience creating strategic brand/product plans, including marketing communications campaigns and commercialization plans.
  • It would be an asset if you have prior expertise analyzing data and trends to deduce patterns in consumer behavior.
  • Previous experience overseeing media and digital marketing strategies is a plus.
  • Those applying should ideally have worked in interdisciplinary groups or with external agencies before.
