Job Description

While overseeing the company’s media strategy, the Media Director will delegate responsibilities and make decisions while also keeping an eye on the timeline and budget for each output. Directly under the supervision of the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO).

  • Collaborate with media buyers and suppliers to handle the analysis, negotiation, and acquisition of advertising channel options – which may include print, internet, outdoor, television, radio, and streaming audio, among other media – in a variety of media formats.
  • Establish rapport and good working relationships with colleagues in creative services, digital, and marketing to ensure that clients’ business objectives are accomplished, communications programs are linked, and internal capabilities are properly used.
  • Develop and give strategic recommendations based on the findings of social media reports to your customers.
  • Keeping up with the latest social media trends, identifying ways to use those trends to benefit clients, and providing continual education to junior employees about emerging and new trends and their potential applicability


  • Excellent analytical talents, as well as a willingness to get your “hands dirty” when it comes to data analysis are required. You must have shown your ability to use data to drive business decisions and marketing optimization in order to be considered for this position.
  • e-commerce expertise at a multi-channel retailer or driving online-offline programs, as well as a solid grasp of digital and direct response marketing across major channels such as paid social, display, search, and affiliates, is a must.
  • An understanding of media analytics techniques and technologies and the ability to analyze, explain, advise, and evaluate them is required for this role.
  • The ability to set agency and media landscape direction, including agency-wide initiatives, improving how teams go to market, and pushing industry-changing ideas.
