We’re on the lookout for someone to fill the position of Finance Coordinator. It is the responsibility of this role to deal with difficult client concerns, supervise and guide the work of lower-level staff members, record processes and make recommendations for changes, and monitor the execution of budgets. Qualifications:

  • Keeping tabs on sales, contracts, continuing work, current project status and performance, earned revenue reports, variance reports, suspense reports, and any correspondence connected to the project
  • As needed, gather data for analysis and forecasting purposes for finance shared services; build and implement complex reports to support financial operations in the administrative region.
  • Assist in the execution of budgets for financial shared services; evaluate and approve budget revisions and new account forms; monitor budgets for overdrafts and spending controls and ensure adherence to grant requirements and limits;… To address concerns such as account dates and budget constraints, speak with Research Accounting before closing restricted accounts.
  • Adhere to and keep current of all relevant research policy and procedure rules, policies, and guidelines in order to give feedback and suggestions directly to the main investigators
  • Contribute to the preparation of the department’s quarterly and annual financial closes. In response to customers’ and vendors’ enquiries and other requests pertaining to billing, you will need to balance vendor payments, establish, amend, and maintain vendors while ensuring that they are correctly configured in the University system.
  • Processes that make it easy for people to apply. Allows for quick and efficient communication.
  • Solve intermediate to somewhat complex problems for both internal and external clients; interact with customers as needed, including explanations of policies and procedures.
  • Applicants are interviewed to determine their insurance coverage and potential eligibility for insurances or programs that expedite payment for transplant treatments.
  • Track project finances and progress and deliver updates to project leadership. Track at-risk projects and generate a report updating budgets and modification orders.
  • Contribute to the formulation and ongoing maintenance of spreadsheets and reports concerning student information and scholarship account balances, Help out with seminars on becoming oriented and doing financial planning.

Skills:

  • Possessing the ability to meet deadlines and preserve essential confidentially, as well as having knowledge of government and basic grant criteria and grants management, is desired.
  • It is essential that you have the capacity to work effectively alone as well as part of a team, whether you are working from home or on-site.
  • Financial analysis and accounting skills are needed. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Knowledge of financial reporting software is necessary, as well as proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, and Word) or comparable software.
  • BA in business, finance, accounting, or comparable area Two years’ experience with at least one year in finance, or an equivalent mix of education, training, and experience.
