Qualifications:

• Big and different datasets should be used for quick analysis and new products and services based on cutting-edge analytics, so these things should happen quickly as well.
• Determine the link between components relevant to well-defined projects by conducting surveys to acquire economic data and comparing previously provided data to current scenarios.
• A researcher’s sponsors, management, or senior staff may have issues that need to be addressed. Plan the research, coordinate its execution, and then present the findings so that everyone involved can benefit from the experience of the study.
• Under the supervision of a senior Economist, you will conduct economic research, evaluate and interpret economic data, develop estimates of benefits, and report the findings of your investigations.
• Asses the effectiveness of economic policies and initiatives by compiling reports that detail the goals, objectives, policies, and forecasts that have been derived via comprehensive economic analysis.
• When necessary, maintains and updates the company’s financial reporting system. In addition, the financial reporting system is reviewed for any flaws or inconsistencies..
• The data and techniques required to conduct sound research to fill knowledge gaps and inform new policy and strategy are identified.
• Current models and prototypes should be monitored and modified as required to improve and strengthen core models and group research goals.
• as requested or permitted, makes certain that staff receives information and training, responds to information requests and offers assistance as needed within the scope of authority for other federal agencies or the general public
• Provide oral and written presentations of economic concepts and quantitative data, particularly to non-technical audiences, and collaborate with other economists and senior-level executives on a variety of economic-related projects.

Skills:

• Presentations and reports must be understandable to non-technical audiences. This is mandatory.
• as well as addressing data quality issues, capable of handling a number of medium to complex projects at the same time
• Communicative abilities in both writing and spoken communication that may be used in a number of situations such as business, academia, the news media, and the public sector
• Individual reports are based on economic research conducted one-on-one with clients.
• Only a Bachelor’s or higher degree in something else can be used to get the experience you need.
