The Credit Analyst’s primary responsibility will be assisting the Credit Risk team in the proper configuration and maintenance of client and facility data inside the credit-risk infrastructure. Diverse users rely on this information to fulfill regulatory reporting requirements, allocate resources, and better understand and serve their customers’ financial interests. The Credit Analyst reports to the Credit Admin Operations Manager and offers operational support for the credit underwriting team for a specific portfolio of credit connections.

Qualifications:

• Maintain an Excel database for use in internal reporting.
• Participate in credit meetings to learn how to make the best case for proposed modifications and new banking opportunities to your company’s internal credit partners.
• Notify the appropriate teams and clients of the decision made regarding the submitted applications and the reasoning behind it.
• In light of negotiated changes, revise and resubmit the plan as necessary.
• Make sure that the team responds to credit requests, questions, and problems in a timely and accurate manner in compliance with the established policies and processes.
• Fill out facility and client data as needed before sending proposals for approval.
• Enhance credit facility proposals for brand-new construction, current construction, and data maintenance, bringing in partners from other areas or lines of business as necessary.
• Making phone calls or sending faxes to banks and other trade references to confirm information on credit applications and bank references and using this information to help make a decision on applications in accordance with Credit Policy.
• Review merchant credit card applications to see if the accounts present an acceptable credit risk.
• Work with the closing coordinators to ensure that there is no negative impact on the clients as a result of the loan closings.

Skills:

• a capacity for effectively managing time across many projects and tasks while sticking to important deadlines.
• PC savvy with expertise in Excel and other general Microsoft Office programs.
• Possessing strong verbal and written communication skills is essential for everyday interactions with coworkers, vendors, and upper-level management, as well as the creation and presentation of reports and processes.
• Ability to quickly and accurately calculate percentages, discounts, interests, and commissions.
• Proven problem-solving skills; in a position to draw conclusions, synthesize information, and recommend courses of action.
