The Digital Media Planner will coordinate the planning and purchasing of digital media with external customers, external vendors, external sites/publishers, and internal teams. The ideal candidate will be able to clearly demonstrate the success of digital campaigns through a variety of measurement and analytics tools, communicate effectively with clients and colleagues, and stay abreast of the latest research, trends, data, tactics, etc. in the digital advertising industry.

  • Develop and implement paid media strategies in collaboration with the rest of the digital marketing team to support ongoing lifecycle programs and point-in-time demand generation campaigns for both consumer and enterprise audiences.
  • Work together to roll out ad campaigns in paid media that use omnichannel strategies based on customers’ preferences.
  • Track metrics like ad verification, brand safety, and viewability to make sure partners are following through on campaign objectives.
  • Reconcile monthly vendor invoicing to ensure it aligns with third-party ad metrics.
  • Negotiate and manage paid media programs with partners in account-based marketing and strategic media vendors.
  • Based on customer objectives, develop multi-channel paid media recommendations.
  • Workflow diagrams, media spending plans, media buy approvals, and vendorINSERTion orders all need to be created and kept up to date.
  • To recommend buy placements, conduct research on partners and media outlets. Based on the strategy and goals of the campaign, find new advertising possibilities.
  • Send RFPs to potential media partners to evaluate for client campaigns in accordance with client goals and key performance indicators.
  • You should meet with your media partners on a regular basis while the campaign is running to ensure that they are doing a good job.


  • Four to six years’ experience in digital media marketing, including two to three years’ experience negotiating media plans and budgets with external providers.
  • Having the ability to negotiate direct media buys with vendor partners in order to obtain better pricing and more value for clients.
  • knowledge of content marketing, native media purchases, and ad negotiations. having first-hand experience dealing with outside media sales teams.
  • Three or more years of experience in media planning and purchasing spanning paid search, social, programmatic, and direct buys.
  • Ability to learn new channels in the B2B market based on the industry or persona you’re targeting, as well as the comfort level you have with doing so.
