Job duties include responding to emergencies, ensuring that all customers have a safe, enjoyable experience, and inspecting the office’s physical security for signs of damage.

Qualifications:

• Any information of a police nature, including offenses in which she/he may get engaged, such as being arrested while off-duty and moving traffic infractions, save for parking violations, must be reported in writing to the security director
• At a given site, the inspection of buildings and grounds by foot or car.
• Be professional at all times, report any suspicious activity, and keep an eye on the parking lot to ensure that no loitering or misbehaving is going place.
• It takes a certain level of ambiguity tolerance, outstanding judgment, objectivity, dependability, and professionalism to handle problems as they emerge.
• In the event of an emergency, such as a fire drill, you’ll be in charge of directing the flow of traffic and keeping accurate logs.
• Take a 15-minute personal break or use your allotted lunch break to consume a meal.
• Ensuring that all workers and customers are treated with dignity and respect by creating a welcoming and comfortable environment.
• Coordinates emergency response by monitoring phones, radios, CCTVs, fire alarms, and security equipment. Whenever possible, use guards or call in the right workers to offer medical, maintenance, and other support.
• A visible deterrent is provided by regular patrols of the designated site, including but not limited to the parking lot and fence.
• Prevents loss and damage by recognizing and reporting abnormalities, such as policy violations, facility and safety threats, and emergency circumstances.

Skills:

• The physical and mental requirements of this profession may involve seeing, hearing, speaking, and writing clearly, with or without appropriate accommodation. Reaching with hands and arms, stooping, kneeling, squatting, and crawling on occasion. Frequent sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods of time, which may include ascending stairs and going up inclines and on uneven terrain. Additional physical needs may involve frequent lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds on a regular basis and occasional lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds on an as-needed basis.
• You must be able to communicate effectively with all parties involved in the company, including drivers, customers, and anybody else. You must be able to communicate effectively at all levels, both inside and outside of the company, in order to create good professional connections.
• It is necessary to have a background in physical security, military service, law enforcement, or another occupation of a similar kind.
• Capable of sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods of time, as well as lifting up to 40 pounds on an irregular basis due to their physical condition.
• Participation in a drug test and background inquiry as part of the pre-employment screening procedure is required.
