The dynamic planning and design business where I work is in need of a new member: a Landscape Architect. As a landscape architect, you’ll work on a wide variety of landscape architecture and planning projects, from residential subdivisions to mixed-use complexes to commercial malls to public parks to nature preserves.

Qualifications:

• Produces and organizes construction documents, including as site plans, building construction (including MWELO), grading, drainage, irrigation, and landscaping designs, as well as technical requirements and cost estimates..
• In addition to construction administration and inspection, the department’s landscape architectural team provides facility/site condition evaluations, ADA compliance assessments, and narrative scoping programs for construction projects with program needs and cost estimates.
• Change orders, RFIs, communication to contractors, construction status, and any other contractor difficulties are among the contract administrator’s responsibilities on given projects. In addition, the contract administrator develops agendas for on-site project construction meetings with inspectors and contractors, as well as examines daily inspection reports.
• To guarantee that all work on site and/or park development projects is completed, coordinates, supervises, and directs other landscape architectural experts and other allied professional disciplines. As required, works to find and manage park project consultants.
• Assist higher-level staff with responsibilities such as writing reports, meeting minutes, memos, and correspondence, and teaching landscape designers and interns.
• It’s important to make sure that the design complies with regulations while delivering value to the customer and a long-term solution by working with other professionals.
• Construction administration jobs include on-site inspections, punch list monitoring, and installations to ensure that the final plans and specifications are adhered to in accordance. Make sure that the work of subcontractors is done properly; advise clients or construction workers as necessary.
• Monitor and organize consultant work, develop performance requirements and budget estimates, estimate expenses, and choose consultants.
• Conduct and document field investigations in order to assess current circumstances, examine existing reports and data, inventory existing landscaping and upgrades, collect field measurements, and identify development restrictions and possibilities.
• Prepare or help in the creation and design of landscape architecture and planning projects, such as schematic design, design development, construction details, construction papers, and requirements.

Skills:

• Soil science, planting, irrigation, and landscape care are all subject to a wide range of restrictions at the national, state, and local levels, as well as at the municipal level.
• You must have a bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture, architecture, or a closely related field in order to pursue a career in this field. In order to swap one year of post-secondary education for another, one year of appropriate experience must be obtained. If extra training is required, the minimal minimum of work experience may be substituted.
• Knowledge of landscape architectural concepts and practices, as well as drafting techniques and practices, as well as planting and building materials and their proper use in landscape project design and execution.
• This course covers modern landscape architecture design and construction approaches, as well as certain technical landscape architecture concepts.
• Maintain a valid, non-probationary Colorado driver’s license that is not restricted by restrictions linked to alcohol and/or drug offences or pending charges.
