After establishing realistic expectations with the client or prospect, the Financial Planner produces and delivers a financial plan that identifies the customer’s existing status, possibilities, and gaps, and advises on specific ways to achieve financial objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Implements different business development strategies, such as telemarketing solicitations and sales seminars, in order to build relationships and get leads.
  • Customers may be provided with investment and insurance options, and referrals can be produced via retail, business banking/wealth management, and wealth management partnerships.
  • Provide customers with services pertaining to financial planning by counseling them on the advantages and downsides of the many product options that are available to fulfill their particular needs in a way that is consistent with those requirements.
  • Financial planning experts, carriers, wholesalers in the insurance industry, and managed accounts can all be used to help current and potential bank customers in the mass affluent segment meet their unique investment needs. This includes everything from brokerage and investment services to insurance and managed accounts.
  • There must be a steady flow of referrals from retail branches, corporate banking institutions, and financial advisors in order to meet or exceed the investment needs of customers in any given market.
  • Prepare suggestions for tailored financial solutions for present and future bank clients, as well as their portfolios; sell and close independently. Determine the demands of the consumer and provide solutions. Use sales tools and modules to evaluate and provide the greatest advice, goods, and customer understanding possible while staying within conventional processes, regulatory constraints, and the best interests of the client.
  • Ensure that allocated Market sales targets are met or exceeded while adhering to applicable laws and regulations.
  • To guarantee excellent investment and insurance recommendations, coach and guide less experienced Financial Advisors, Licensed Bankers, and Business Banking employees.
  • Making suggestions for auxiliary services that may interest consumers during Financial Planning Analysis is among the duties of this position.
  • When it comes to satisfying the requirements of clients and staying in compliance with laws, investment products and services may be modified with the help of COIs (Centers of Influence).

Skills:

  • The ability to use Microsoft Office products, including Power Point, as well as programs specialized to the broker dealer industry is required.
  • With a bachelor’s degree desired, a high school diploma or its equivalent is the minimum requirement. (Investment sales experience of at least two years required) (preferably in a financial institution)
  • The candidate must be detail-oriented, task-oriented, and calendar-driven, since the position requires timely task management in accordance with client service deadlines.
  • Registration (If necessary by the state where the job will be performed. If it is necessary by the state of hiring and you do not already have it, you are expected to get it within the first six months of employment.
  • Self-assurance and a professional demeanor are necessary qualities for an individual who wants to work with high-net-worth families.
