You will be supporting the Safety Manager with the coordination and planning of emergency drills and exercises, the evaluation and execution of after-action plans connected to real accidents and/or drills/exercises as a Safety Coordinator with us.

Qualifications:

  • Other programs are established and executed, such as hearing conservation, chemical inventory/control, hazardous communications/SDS, ergonomics, and others. Schedules and delivers or arranges for annual audiometric testing.
  • This work requires regular and predictable attendance, as well as the ability to safely perform jobs and follow all safety regulations and procedures.
  • It’s critical to help with the project’s application of our safety policy and zero-accident culture (s).
  • Managers and supervisors are given advice and assistance in creating a safe work environment. Purchase, utilize, and install safety or hazard control equipment.
  • Employees, supervisors, managers, and other stakeholders are counselled and provided technical help on issues such as worker’s compensation and fitness for duty decision.
  • Conduct accident investigations and work with management and employees to come up with solutions to prevent future disasters. Implement the approach and monitor the results.
  • Organizes and facilitates safety meetings. Monthly, plans, creates, and provides or organizes the delivery of safety-related training to a number of departments.
  • Assess the workplace for hazards on a regular basis and implement hazard controls before an accident happens. Determine whether any employees are participating in potentially dangerous safety behaviors and, if so, whether more training is necessary.
  • Ensures that all required safety-related equipment and system testing, inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs are carried out on time. Ascertains that flaws are evaluated for ILSM risk and dealt with in line with policy.
  • Assist with the updating and auditing of Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Lockout Procedures, as well as ensuring that staff are appropriately taught in them.

Skills:

  • Computer software such as document, presentation, spreadsheet, and database programs are all necessary.
  • The candidate should have a strong sense of leadership and a persistent drive to learn and improve his abilities.
  • In all facets of his or her career, an individual who follows high ethical standards. Takes responsibility for his or her actions and decisions, and encourages an honest work environment. He preserves secrecy while dealing with highly confidential or sensitive matters.
  • Gather information from a variety of sources, then arrange, prepare, and make suggestions to management and operational employees.
