Under the supervision of a supervisor, the Drywall Finisher cleans and maintains a safe and aesthetically acceptable working environment. Preventive maintenance, equipment repairs, and services on various building systems are performed independently. Participates in the entire building management program in order to deliver high-quality, cost-effective service with a focus on customer happiness.

Qualifications:

• To embellish and preserve interior surfaces, performs thorough finishing work such as painting (roller, brush, and spray applications), vinyl wallpaper restoration, staining, and application of other finishes. Using hand and power tools, prepares and finishes walls and surface areas, fixes damaged wood and metal doors, and performs Finisher-related tasks.
• Meeting all attendance standards, being on time at the start of the shift, and adhering to the division’s attendance policies are all essential.
• Using trowels, brushes, rollers, or a texture hopper, apply texturizing chemicals or primers to walls or ceilings before final finishing. To secure wallboard and metal structural components, use metal molding at wall corners.
• When you work in a group, you may produce items that meet our quality requirements while also meeting our productivity goals.
• A safe and healthy workplace for everybody requires careful adherence to established safety standards and rules. Always have personal protective equipment (PPE) on hand.
• Protecting our company’s physical assets from damage and misuse, reporting any needed repairs, and keeping your designated area clean and organized are all examples of stewardship.
• Maintaining communication with your supervisor and reporting any job-related difficulties, as well as ensuring that all equipment and supplies are used safely and efficiently.
• Assist your Team Leader and Area Coordinator in planning and organizing your area’s production activities by communicating projected material shortages, identifying required tool maintenance, and communicating any quality or productivity issues.
• Communicates and collaborates with the supervisor, the customer, and other trades and subcontractors in order to offer high-quality, timely, and cost-effective maintenance services while maintaining service continuity and coordination.
• Using trowels, wide knives, or spatulas, spread sealing compound between boards or panels or over cracks, holes, nail heads, or screw heads.

Skills:

• Candidate should have an insatiable drive to learn and grow, as well as a strong sense of leadership and responsibility.
• Possess the ability to carry out physically hard duties
• Prior construction and/or manufacturing experience is desired.
• It is necessary to have communication abilities.
• High school courses in carpentry, shop, mechanical drawing, and basic algebra are also beneficial.
