As a member of our on-site management team, the Bookkeeper is primarily responsible for rent collection and the maintenance of resident ledgers. By sustaining a low delinquency, the Bookkeeper will maintain control of the rent collection process and ensure success of the management team and the community.

Qualifications:

• Modifications to the budget that have been proposed are tracked until the budget is finalized.
• Agreements are negotiated with route employees on a daily basis, including the matching of appropriate tickets.
• To be considered for this position, you must have a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or management.
• Examine the cash handling processes to ensure that they are being followed. Noncompliance is tracked, and problems are discussed with the principal as needed.
• Process purchase orders against activity funds, check fund availability, allocate amounts, and ask for administrative approval.
• Recover any insufficient funds or returned checks as quickly as possible by going to the bank.
• Clerical employment includes tasks such as answering the phone and operating office equipment.
• Clover Point of Sale (POS) and QuickBooks accounting software should be well-understood by the applicant.
• It is necessary to have three years of bookkeeping experience.
• Verify that all of your financial records are current and accurate.

Skills:

• Payables and receivables regulations should be fully understood.
• The ability to use Microsoft Excel is required.
• Good time management and organizing abilities are necessary.
• The ability to enter data and a sense of numbers are both required.
• Negotiation skills and a commitment to client service are important.
