The RN oversees the provision of patient care services accordance with established standards of care and assigns LPNs and/or nursing assistants assignments as needed.

Qualifications:

• Maintains clinical and professional skills. Complies with yearly competence and education standards. Attends staff meetings, patient care meetings, and educational in-services. Knows policies, processes, and performance standards.
• Maintains a direct impact on resident care plans and makes proactive changes based on resident needs. Consults with other members of the health care team and coordinates their efforts in order to analyze, plan, implement, and evaluate resident care plans.
• Maintains responsibility for patient care activities by delegating them to the right employees. Assists other members of the nursing team with the various stages of the procedure.
• accurately anticipates changes in the level of patient care required. Report and make notes on any changes in the patient’s condition on a consistent basis to both the charge nurse or supervisor and the attending physician.
• Recognizes and aids in the prevention of elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation (financial and otherwise), and reports to competent authorities in accordance with state legislation.
• When a shift begins and ends, subordinate staff are given a heads-up on what residents are like, what their requirements are for the day, and what expectations they have for themselves.
• Provides direct nursing care in accordance with nursing standards, hospital and unit rules, procedures, and recommendations. Utilizes care standards supported by evidence throughout the nursing process. Makes judgments based on understanding of facts, diseases/surgical situations, the necessary treatment, and sound judgment.
• Cares for patients in an efficient way, keeping records that meet standards and talking to patients in a way that reduces the chance of medical or health care mistakes.
• Performs a detailed assessment of the nursing requirements of a predetermined group of patients. Performs the role of an advocate for the patient. Throughout the patient’s stay, provides tailored treatment that is focused on the patient as well as the patient’s family and analyzes the efficacy of that care.
• By giving new licensed workers with correct and up-to-date information, it ensures that the quality of service is maintained. Pain evaluations on a regular basis, as well as entrance tests and so forth.

Skills:

• Evaluate patients receiving home health care to determine their physical, psychological, and social needs, as well as their environmental requirements, using the paperwork, clinical records, case conferences, team reports, and assessments as evidence.
• To be able to communicate effectively with all levels of management and the general public. Patients’ progress notes and nursing protocols should be documented.
• It is necessary for staff, parents and consumers to be fluent in English in order to interact effectively. Experienced supervisors will be given priority consideration for the position in question.
• Knowledge of nursing procedures and practices emergency medicine knowledge Understanding and following health and safety requirements (sanitation, decontamination, etc.)
• Having a bachelor’s degree in nursing is preferable but not required. Minimum of one year of experience as an Acute Care Nurse, or its equivalent, is required for this position. Both a valid RN license and a valid BLS certification are needed.
