Qualifications:

• examines plans, specifications, and other building paperwork to formulate cost estimates and spending plans.
• See to it that all data is successfully transferred from the Preconstruction phase to the Construction Operations phase of the project.
• establishes and maintains a database of past labor, material, and equipment costs to facilitate competitive bidding.
• Analyze the plan, the soils report, the project specifications, the bid guidelines, and the quantity measurements.
• cost-benefit analysis of solutions to problems that may or may not be mentioned in the building’s documentation.
• Carrying out quantity takeoffs and other estimating duties for the various building divisions.
• Check the accuracy of the information, potential dangers, and construction-related issues in any other construction documents, including drawings, specifications, and all other associated paperwork.
• Constantly putting the needs of the client first and making sure all details of the proposal are well-documented.
• Visiting the homes and places of business of potential customers in order to provide them with cost estimates for jobs and projects.
• Verify that the drawings and specifications agree, and that there are no discrepancies.

Skills:

• able to think on one’s feet and exert one’s own motivation to succeed in a commercial environment.
• reading and understanding of technical documents such as requirements documents, specifications, and drawings.
• possess knowledge of leading complicated projects that require coordinating with a sizable number of designs, construction, accounting, and operational positions.
• having worked on a Microsoft project (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Have worked in Sales or Estimating for at least 2 years, ideally in the Home Improvement sector.
