We’re looking for someone who’s detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a high-pressure, deadline-driven workplace. The Project Accountant collaborates with project managers, customers, subsidiaries, and peers to produce bills that meet contract requirements and the demands of external clients, as well as to support IT tracking requirements.

Job Title : Project Accountant – Tuesday to Saturday Shift
Location : Ras al-Khaimah, Ras Al-Khaimah, United Arab Emirates

Qualifications:

• Responsibilities include reviewing and comprehending the contract, including the project type, scope of work, and billing conditions.
• Ensures that the databases for utilities and construction projects are accurately updated by monitoring them.
• Verify that the subconsultant budget was created in accordance with the terms of the contract.
• Prepares and manages construction-related special financial reports.
• Checks to make sure that new services, invoices, and change orders are being applied to the correct account. The general fund prepares transfers of expenditures and encumbrances to the proper accounts for review and approval.
• Collaboration with the project accounting manager, regional financial manager, and project managers is required.
• In charge of projects given to you by the project accounting manager from a financial perspective.
• Must be able to see problems before project profits start to erode and, if necessary, help design a corrective action plan.
• Must be exceptionally well-organized, capable of prioritizing amid competing demands, detail-oriented, accurate, and able to double-check work.
• You’ll spend most of your time monitoring and evaluating project financials.

• A deep understanding of the concepts and practices of financial management and the ability to put that knowledge to good use.
• Be able to recognize issues and provide suggestions for improvements based on a basic knowledge of policies and practices.
• To be successful in this profession, you must have superior oral and written English language skills.
• Microsoft Office proficiency is necessary, with knowledge of Excel at the Beginner Level and Oracle Accounting software preferred.
