The Procurement Manager will strategize and negotiate with suppliers and vendors to lower procurement expenditures while ensuring regulatory compliance and brand value proposition consistency. The job will lead by creating goals, assigning resources, managing budgets, and monitoring actions.

Qualifications:

• Create policies and practices for risk management in order to reduce the amount of money lost in the event that products become unavailable. Maintain a watchful eye on the appropriate departments, and make sure they are kept up to speed with any changes in the prices of items or vendors.
• Evaluate expenditure operations while looking for methods to improve and increase product quality, delivery timeliness, and inventory management optimization.
• Perform an analysis of the manufacturing business resource planning as well as any other necessary material requirements based on the needs of assembly demands, component replenishments, replacement parts or materials, production setups, engineering adjustments, and enterprise supplies.
• To accomplish performance targets, collaborate closely with key internal and external stakeholders to develop, implement, and enhance vendor management methods, tools, and policies.
• Keep procurement records up to date in line with state laws, perform contract reviews, and maintain a well-organized central file system for contracts and renewals to guarantee contract compliance.
• Numerous meetings at all levels of management with both internal and external clients to discuss operations, schedules, or other elements of contracts or projects.
• All lines of insurance bids are administered, as well as evaluations with the executive team, maintenance of insurance certificates and liens, records and files, and renewals. Depending on the situation, create reports.
• As procurement manager, you have a lot of onus on your shoulders. The existing system may be used to handle the contractual process, including bids, procurement, record keeping, and renewals.
• Creates and maintains RFP procedures to satisfy program objectives and needs. Establishes, manages, creates RFPs, and analyzes buying initiatives in collaboration with internal and external partners.
• Work closely with the financial, legal, and compliance departments to ensure advantageous contracts and conditions. Supervise support for buying resources and allocate responsibilities across departments as required.

Skills:

• Knowing how to use and license software as a service Working in and leading a remote team is second nature to me. An ISM/APICS certification is preferable, as is a JD or legal background.
• Experience identifying and managing GPOs is desired, as is a minimum of 2 years in supply chain management or 5 years in buying or procurement. Proven negotiating skills and great interpersonal communication skills are required to establish genuine professional ties with Suppliers and Vendors.
• A bachelor’s degree from a college or university of at least four years’ duration, preferably in business, business administration, or finance; in addition to five (5) years of comparable buying experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• a working knowledge of contract law; negotiating concepts; procurement methods; market research and analysis methodologies; and the creation and management of contracts Public sector buying processes and practices are preferred.
• Strong analytical abilities, including the ability to assess and comprehend business operations, elicit and define needs, and discover viable solutions and alternatives.
