Job Description

The Warehouse Supervisor is in charge of all warehouse-related activities. This person is responsible for overseeing the loading and unloading of all route trucks, bulk rigs, and transports each day. This includes the actions of checkers, loaders, and forklift drivers.

Qualifications:

• Maintain confidentiality and act professionally while discussing expectations, resolving disputes, and addressing problems.
• Set an example for others to follow and encourage them to adhere to the company’s guiding principles of service, innovation, safety, and dependability.
• Create and propose measures to better ensure the product’s security, productivity, efficiency, and quality.
• Create and maintain department teammates’ schedules and job assignments.
• Ensure that departmental and warehouse procedures will reduce wasteful expenditures, increase customer value, and improve team morale and the work environment.
• help with challenges regarding manpower/product and production control flow analysis and resolution.
• Assist colleagues with training, development, and coaching/corrective action.
• Keep up-to-date on the department’s status and discuss the inventory, resources, and supplies that will be required for upcoming orders.
• By creating and putting into practice standardized operating procedures, you can ensure that quality is constant and costs are minimal.
• Capacity to learn departmental processes, implement them to meet expectations, and advocate for them amongst peers to win buy-in and positive results.

Skills:

• Read the stated work and safety rules, procedures, and programs that are provided by the company as well as any written work orders, manuals, or measurement instruments.
• Possess experience in leading large teams, as well as in hiring, training, motivating, and resolving employee relations issues.
• Capable of giving informative and engaging presentations to teams of managers and coworkers, and fielding their questions afterwards.
• Possess the capacity to identify issues, gather relevant information, verify it, and reach reasonable judgments.
• have computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Word and Excel.
