A Journalist is needed for a daily lifestyle and entertainment show. Report, shoot, write, edit, create segments, packages, and perform live shoots and studio interviews as a Journalist. Must be capable of showing and delivering in a variety of situations. Local and national celebrity newsmakers are interviewed live and on tape by the Journalist. Assists in the creation of locally produced material for broadcast. As a spokesperson of the station, he attends public and celebrity events.

Qualifications:

• selects themes for investigation and conducts study on such areas. Making contacts and conducting interviews with relevant sources. Maintains a journal in addition to making audio recordings. Stories are written by her, and she also edits them.
• Perform the responsibilities of an on-air reporter for the designated broadcast. Fill in for any and all news programs that are requested or necessitated as a substitute anchor.
• The contributors may come up with big series pieces and lead stories for daily news programs. Create news stories that are based on thorough research. Choose video and take control of editing and graphic design development for on-air programming.
• Develop ideas for stories, do research and set up the material and interviews, create the content while out in the field, write and voice the narrative, and then deliver the story live on a specified newscast at the appointed time.
• Build ties with the community and community leaders to find story leads. Develop connections in the neighborhood for news stories.
• Presents program material in accordance with the station’s editorial philosophy, distinctive broadcast identity, and audience interest.
• Act as a local audio reporter who is responsible for making both short and long-form audio articles for digital and audio platforms.
• Write, edit, and generate news packages alongside news producers, managers, and photographers. As requested, create video and graphic presentations.
• Maintain open lines of communication with news producers, assignment editors, and managers about the progression of breaking news stories, story development, and field progress.
• Produce segments and packages via filming, scripting, editing, and packaging. Long-format interviews, as well as live ones, will be done. Programming and uploading to the station’s different digital platforms.

Skills:

• An analyst’s ability to collaborate with individuals from different departments and organizations is critical. The capacity to communicate difficult ideas in terms that the general public can understand and that media outlets are interested in reporting on.
• Reporting, narrative, media production, and communication skills are required. Capability to do research and discover the most relevant news perspective for a story.
• It’s essential to be able to meet tight deadlines while maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy in the work you produce. to sift through a large amount of information and distill it into a logical argument supported by facts.
• Ability to digest enormous volumes of knowledge and data, Ability to work with diverse departments and organizations.
• Have a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism/Communications, or a closely related subject, Journalists should have at least two years of experience before applying.
