Job Description

IT Technicians guarantee computer functioning so end users may complete tasks. Receiving, prioritizing, documenting, and resolving end-user assistance requests. Problem resolution may need the IT Technician to employ diagnostics and help tools and provide desktop assistance.

  • Internet resources include authorized software updates, drivers, knowledge bases, and FAQs.
  • Record, keep track of, and record the help desk request as well as the process of problem-solving, including all choices taken, both successful and failed, and inform the IT Support Supervisor on the issue’s ultimate resolution.
  • Implementing file backups, installing and updating software, and customizing systems and apps are all examples of desktop repairs.
  • Provide a higher level of computer help with the goal of tracing the cause of the issue and resolving it by taking the appropriate corrective action.
  • Works with the Customer’s Desktop Supervisor and Training Supervisors to provide written reports and documentation as required. Installation of a new desktop or laptop computer
  • Test the fixes to make sure that the problem is fixed correctly, and send in all of your findings and final solutions. Follow up with the users and the manager after the problem has been fixed.
  • Repairs and replaces faulty assemblies or components in computers, printers, and networks. When necessary, installs new operating systems, hardware drivers, and software programs.
  • Problems with computer hardware or software, new equipment setups and installs, software installations, moves, decommissioning, phone and fax difficulties, and so on should all be resolved as end user help desk requests.
  • Manage various monitoring systems, such as Windows Perfmon and SolarWinds, by configuring and maintaining their settings as needed. An internal documentation system for processes and procedures should be set up and maintained regularly.
  • It’s important to keep track of customer contacts and provide documentation, like “how-to” manuals, to help fix problems. To protect data and computer systems from cyberattacks.


  • Technical knowledge of Microsoft Office, browsers, mobile devices, printers, and scanners is needed, as well as knowledge of operating systems for both PCs and Macs.
  • The ability to understand, read, write, and communicate in English at all levels of the organization The ability to swiftly adjust to new technology and a changing business environment
  • Help desk software, database management and remote-control skills are required for this position Communication and client-facing abilities are required. Exceptional problem-solving and multitasking abilities.
  • Associate degree in computer science, technology, or IT desirable. AWS, Microsoft Office, internet browsers, mobile apps, disaster recovery, and VMware expertise desirable.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with a wide range of internal and external customers, including those with varying backgrounds in technology.
