Our Director of Accounting is the last point of responsibility for the brand’s day-to-day accounting operations. They report directly to the VP of Accounting and serve as a bridge between the department’s long-term goals and day-to-day operations. Work with the Vice President of Accounting to build team schedules. Best practice expectations will be a source of inspiration and guidance for them. Accounting Managers and Senior Accountants are held responsible for the work product of the whole AP/AR department. At the same time as they’re working on streamlining the accounting process for maximum efficiency and precision, they’re contributing to the conclusion of the quarter and the year.

Qualifications:

• Set an example for your colleagues and leaders by acting with the utmost integrity, honesty, and discretion at all times.
• Monitoring and assessment of the employed analytical tools and reports on a continuous basis, with a focus on process and system improvements to assist the company’s financial management.
• Provide direction and oversight for the Accounts Payable and Receivable, Project Accounting, and Payroll teams.
• A culture of transparency, collaboration, and accountability must be fostered in the workplace.
• The automation of AP and AR, as well as the development of new workflow tools that support corporate strategy, should be coordinated.
• Manage staff by setting objectives, directing them and giving mentorship and guidance. Achieve departmental goals and projects in a way that provides room for development.
• Improve business skills and procedures related to accounting operations by collaborating closely with the ERP IT team throughout the introduction of a new ERP system.
• Direct the administration of the financial systems’ monthly close, making sure that all tasks are completed on time and in compliance with the rules, regulations, and accounting standards that apply.
• To ensure the integrity of financial reporting, internal controls must be maintained and enhanced. Maintain a timely communication of accounting operations. Standard internal controls and GAAP standards both demand the development of accounting processes and operational operations, which must be implemented and executed consistently across all relevant activities.
• Organize the next ERP platform installation in respect to the aforementioned responsibilities and objectives.

Skills:

• Passion for delving deep into processes and communicating the broader picture requires meticulous attention to detail and a thirst for knowledge.
• Accomplished cross-department collaboration capabilities, as well as strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
• The capacity to identify waste and provide a solution is one of the skills required for process re-engineering and execution.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a desire to delve deeply into processes in order to get a deeper understanding of them and effectively express their broader implications.
• Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline is necessary, and a Master’s degree is preferable, but not essential.
