Our team is looking for a Corporate Controller to join it. The ideal applicant will be a self-motivated, proactive problem-solver with a track record of achieving various objectives. It is preferred that this individual has industry expertise and has worked in a leadership matrix organization. Our Corporate Controller will serve as a Strategic Partner with our executive and extended leadership team, focusing on connections, leadership, and the softer aspects of the organization, as opposed to accounting and financial information alone. The primary focus is operating the business with the numbers rather than by the numbers. The Corporate Controller will oversee and supervise the organization’s accounting and financial operations in accordance with GAAP and Federal Acquisition Regulation requirements. Multiple direct reports report to the accounting and billing manager. This position reports to the Chief Financial Officer.

Qualifications:

• There should be a review of internal control compliance gaps and recommendations for improvement offered.
• Team leadership via proactive talent management, including team member coaching, training, and mentoring.
• Assist in the design and enhancement of operational and financial reporting.
• Interact and communicate effectively at several levels with the Accounting team, other internal/external partners, and customers.
• Following any modifications, monitor and confirm compliance with regulatory requirements and/or GAAP standards.
• Examine the Accounts Payable department’s monthly account analysis and reconciliations.
• Senior executives may use analytical and financial data to help them make decisions.
• Accurately and timely close outs for all month-to-quarter and year-to-end financial reporting are a primary responsibility of this position.
• Take part in the creation and monitoring of operational and capital budgets.
• In order to meet the expectations of our diversified organization, you must lead, assist, and grow the accounting staff while promoting efficiency & automation.

Skills:

• For more than three years, we’ve been creating internal control rules, standards, and processes for tasks like budgeting, cash management, and bookkeeping.
• Excellent written and oral communicator with the ability to convey challenging concepts and risk issues to stakeholders and influence their choices.
• When starting a new firm or function in a hard environment, this person is excellent at encouraging others and developing trust. A seasoned business associate.
• 3+ years of experience generating or overseeing financial statements, company activity reports, financial situation predictions, yearly budgets, or reports needed by regulatory bodies.
• A bachelor’s degree in a finance-related field, or an equivalent number of years of work experience, or a combination of the two.
