Job Description

The Admissions Coordinator plays an important role in the admissions team by providing administrative support for all aspects of the admissions procedure, including but not limited to the application, the recruiting of prospective students, and the enrollment of those students. The person in this position answers to the School’s Director of Admissions. The admissions coordinator is the person prospective students should talk to about the application process in general. The duties of the Admissions Coordinator include daily correspondence with prospective students and their families, application processing and review, enrollment of accepted students, management of on-campus audition logistics and paperwork, administrative support for other programs (non-resident DMA applicants, dossier service), and assistance with other tasks and projects as assigned by the Director of Admissions.

Qualifications:

  • Oversees and coordinates administrative, program, and office activities. Establishes, selects, implements, and coordinates office procedures and systems. Serves as principal source of information to students, staff, and faculty on policies, procedures, programs, and office activities.
  • prepares the itinerary for the trip. organizes and schedules events, meetings, and appointments. placing and maintaining orders for supplies; stockpiling the latter. consist of notes taken or dictation taken. does other obligations that arise in the course of regular office work.
  • provides suggestions for enhancing recruitment efforts and data for recruitment reports.
  • building relationships with guidance counselors and pre-pharmacy association leaders to increase interest from prospective students and the number of applications received.
  • responds to questions from prospective, current, and admitted students and keeps current students apprised of major upcoming events and activities (e.g., deadlines for required documentation, information about pre-orientation and general orientation, etc.).
  • invites guests in. calls are picked up and answered. determines the type of the business gives information in response to inquiries and offers help. mail is screened and handled.
  • Editorial assistance for a journal/publication. Edits and proofreads work for grammatical and factual accuracy. Tracks copy through various levels of editing and production. Communicates with authors, printers, and others involved in the publication of work.
  • Edits and proofreads correspondence, reports, papers, grants, and other written materials. The correct components and attachments are put together. Checks incoming paperwork for accuracy, dates, and signatures. Official written letters and documents are gathered.
  • Determines administrative, space, and equipment requirements for conferences, lectures, and seminars. Assembles and organizes essential items. Determines data sources Data compilation, synthesis, and manipulation. Writes findings summaries and reports or sections of reports.
  • Supervises, trains, and manages the work of support employees. Manages the process of putting together applications for funding, contracts, and financial plans. Keeps an eye on costs and makes sure the books add up.

Skills:

  • Superior communication skills and the ability to connect with customers. Able to demonstrate a history of success in an administrative role.
  • Capacity to collaborate with and contribute to a diverse workplace via ideas or experience.
  • A bachelor’s degree in a related field and one year of related work experience.
  • Expertise in complex databases and spreadsheets, keen analytical skills, and impeccable organizational skills and attention to detail are required.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills. Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook proficiency at the intermediate to advanced level.
