Qualifications:

• There will be a lot of paperwork for firemen to fill out. It includes pre-occupation planning, inspection reports, alarm event records, and an assessment of the facility’s capacity.
• use an array of firefighting and rescue gear, including as shovels, air compressors and other hand and power instruments. Other tools, such as axes and pike poles, will be used to gain entry into structures..
• firefighters react to emergencies in a safe and timely manner, keeping fire and life safety equipment operational.
• It is the responsibility of firemen to help with customer interactions as well as installing smoke detectors, visiting community events and school activities to spread awareness about the importance of fire and life safety.
• It’s your responsibility to do daily checks on the allocated vehicle to ensure it’s running well. In addition to checking the fluid levels, you also manage the pumps and make sure that everything on the car is operating correctly. The automobile should be refueled and cleaned, if required.
• Initiates firefighting operations and aids in the suppression of blazes by performing rescue and entry operations as well as ventilation and salvage work; penetrates buildings, looks for and rescues trapped individuals, and performs ventilation and salvage operations.
• The ability to carry out all of the responsibilities listed above without endangering oneself or others.
• When there is a spill of fuel or hazardous substances, or when there are bomb threats, you should help clean them up right away. Dikes should be built or fuel or hazardous substances should be stored in a way that doesn’t let them get into the surface drainage system.
• As a team player, contribute positively to regional and corporate goals.
• Keeping the fire station both inside and out, including mopping floors, washing windows, sweeping, dusting, maintaining the storage, plowing paths, and cleaning the kitchen and bathrooms, is the primary responsibility of the shift.

Skills:

• Every year, the employee must complete 240 hours of CPR and first aid training.
• Maintaining current active status on all required licenses is a condition of continued employment, and the employee must have the license with him or her at all times while at work.
• It is necessary to have a physical examination in accordance with NFPA 1582. To move or lift anything, you’ll need to be able to apply up to 100 pounds of force on a regular or irregular basis.
