You will be supporting the Safety Manager with the coordination and planning of emergency drills and exercises, the evaluation and execution of after-action plans connected to real accidents and/or drills/exercises as a Safety Coordinator with us.

Qualifications:

  • Managers and supervisors are given guidance and assistance in creating a safe working environment. It is suggested that you purchase, use, and install safety or hazard control equipment.
  • Regularly assess the workplace for possible hazards and implement hazard controls before an accident happens. Determine if any employees are engaged in dangerous safety behaviors and, if so, if they require more training.
  • Safety meetings are organized and facilitated. Plan, prepare, and present or organize the delivery of safety-related training to a number of departments on a monthly basis.
  • Investigate incidents and collaborate with management and personnel to develop ways to avoid future disasters. As you apply your strategy, keep an eye on the results.
  • Ascertains that all required safety-related equipment and system testing, inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs are accomplished on time. Ascertains that problems are evaluated for ILSM risk and fixed in line with policy.
  • Consistent and reliable attendance, the ability to accomplish jobs safely, and adherence to all safety standards and procedures are all requirements for this role.
  • It’s critical to help with the project’s application of our safety policy and zero-accident culture (s).
  • Employees, supervisors, managers, and other stakeholders are counselled and provided technical support on matters such as worker’s compensation and fitness for duty judgments.
  • Develops and implements programs such as hearing conservation, chemical inventory/control, hazardous communications/SDS, ergonomics, and others. Audiometric testing is planned, supplied, or organized on an annual basis.
  • Assist with the updating and auditing of Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Lockout Procedures, as well as making sure that employees have received enough training.

  • Individual who maintains high ethical standards in their daily work operations. Takes responsibility for his or her actions and decisions, and encourages an honest work environment. Uses caution while dealing with highly confidential and sensitive material.
  • Collect data from a variety of sources, then organize, present, and offer recommendations to management and operational staff.
  • Computer software such as document, presentation, spreadsheet, and database are all necessary.
  • The applicant should have a strong sense of leadership and a strong desire to learn and grow.
  • Interpersonal, organizational, and communication abilities are all essential.
