  • In order to assist doctors and nurses, medical records are gathered and screening procedures are carried out in line with provider standards, as well as patient and family information being recorded, calls being answered and samples being collected prior to testing.

Physical measurements, such as weight, height, head circumference, and growth chart completion must also be taken and recorded, along with vital signs and pain screens that alert the registered nurse or doctor when they fall outside of normal range.
  • Cleaning exam/procedure rooms, tools, and equipment between patient visits to maintain infection control; cleaning sterilizers according to scheduled maintenance programmed; setting up instruments and equipment in accordance with department protocol; ordering, sorting, storing supplies; and restocking exam/procedure rooms. keeping infection in check.
  • Promoting patient rights, responding to emergencies correctly, sharing patient and/or staff complaints with immediate supervisors immediately, and tracking and following up on all referrals is all part of meeting the needs of patients.   • Receives and carries out orders from the supervising, delegating, or overseeing doctor or advanced practice clinician, visits the patient’s room, gathers and records vital signs and important health data, confirms the completion of the medication reconciliation, and gets the patient ready for the exam.
  • This job aids the clinical team in managing a particular caseload while working under the direction of the Medical Director, Clinic Director, and Office Manager, depending on their training and/or experience in an outpatient treatment programmed (if applicable). Additionally, they could be expected to show that they have the interpersonal skills and organizational abilities necessary for this job.
  • The standard of care requires that patients be prepared for x-rays, tests, and operations, that electrocardiograms be conducted according to age-appropriate standards, and that safety hazards be addressed by speaking out and adjusting practice in order to enhance patient safety.


  • Sterilization technology, specific methods, and personal hygiene and cleanliness are all part of this job’s skill set requirements. Health and safety factors at a clinic must also be taken into account when hiring new employees.
  • Minimum of one year of work experience in a public contact position, particularly in the service industry, with a high school graduation or its equivalent is necessary. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills are also necessary, as well as experience or an interest in the healthcare industry.
  • Being detail-oriented and highly organized, having knowledge of patient care and examination procedures, and being able to maintain confidentiality at all times are also requirements.
