Job Description

We are now seeking for an HR Specialist to join our team. This job is largely responsible for carrying out the overall labor strategy, addressing labor and employee relations issues, and fostering cooperative ties with labor union leadership. Contract administration, contract interpretation, grievance processing, arbitration preparation, Letters of Agreement, negotiation preparation, and negotiation coordination will be handled by the HR Specialist for the facility.

Qualifications:

  • Timely and within approval authorization, processes performance reviews, wage/salary transactions, and disciplinary actions in the Company’s HR information system.
  • Employee-related issues and concerns will be handled by the HR Generalist, who will also maintain constant communication with facility management and Corporate HR. The primary purpose is to guarantee that the company’s employees have positive working relationships.
  • Supports local recruiting to help meet or exceed monthly and annual targets by coordinating with the centralized recruiting team. Ensures a positive candidate experience and hires manager experience through on-site interviewing, resume screenings, networking events/hiring fairs in coordination with other hiring managers.
  • It is critical to be able to radiate confidence, competence, and empathy while speaking with internal and external partners, clients/customers.
  • Responds to employee personnel inquiries and inputs, changes, inserts, and deletes pertinent data into the HR Information System. Any strange or unsolved situations are reported to the HR Manager for follow-up.
  • Performs onboarding for new employees, which includes inputting data into the HR Information System and offering new employee orientation. Ensures that data is input accurately and completely, and that employees are familiar with company regulations and procedures, including the material in the employee handbook.
  • Human resources policies are communicated to employees via a series of training courses (e.g. Time Off with Pay, Tuition Reimbursement, etc.).
  • Prepares regular and special reports by analyzing trends and identifying problem areas with a small margin of error and a high level of importance.
  • Insurance coverage, retirement plans, and personnel transactions such as hiring, promotions, transfers, performance evaluations, terminations, and other personnel and payroll-related concerns are all tracked down in this system.
  • Processes leaves of action in the Company’s timekeeping system and ensures that FMLA, ADA, and other federal, state, and local requirements are followed.

Skills:

  • Human resources, labor relations, employment law, or a related subject requires a bachelor’s or master’s degree.
  • The candidate should have a strong desire to learn and enhance his talents on a continuous basis, as well as a strong sense of responsibility and leadership.
  • Human resource principles, policies, procedures, and basic employment rules must all be fully comprehended.
