In addition to supporting the accounting department, a management accountant is responsible for all elements of accounting for several sets of property books and for the preparation and review of monthly reports on that status. The majority of this position’s responsibilities will be working with federally sponsored tenant assistance.

Qualifications:

• Contribute to internal financial reporting by producing financial data, records, and reports. Financial data should be evaluated, reviewed for accuracy, and errors corrected.
• Inappropriate fees and possible penalties must be addressed. New accountants need help getting up to speed, ensuring that their team members’ work is accurate, and building solid working connections with other employees.
• Maintaining balance sheet account activity, balancing bank and mortgage data, creating journal entries, balancing accounting schedules to the general ledger, and meeting other standards are all important.
• Assist with the development of new reporting formats that will allow operational management teams to quickly understand the aspects that impact financial success.
• Working with the International Financial Reporting Standards is a crucial aspect of operating management’s job. Research support for IFRS-related tasks.
• Get to know your coworkers on the product line by attending regular meetings and getting to know them better. Provide pertinent financial information, if requested.
• It is up to you to determine if changes to the company’s balance sheet are essential and appropriate for the company’s distribution activities.
• Maintain consistent communication with many tiers of management and other departments, as well as with auditors, lenders, and other third parties; compile supplementary reports and do extra analyses as necessary by a variety of stakeholders.
• Learn about device standard costs and how they affect gross margins and inventory levels by assisting with inventory costing cycles in your business unit.
• Identify the company’s existing and future financial position by analyzing financial data such as income, expenses, assets and liabilities, and creating a balance sheet, profit and loss statement and other financial reports.
