Our Management Accounting department is looking for a highly qualified and motivated individual. As well as ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the company’s reported financial performance, this salary exempt role will help generate and communicate business insights. The Director of Financial and Management Accounting is the primary line manager for this salaried exempt post.

Qualifications:

• Assist with the creation of new reporting formats that enable operational management teams to swiftly understand the drivers of financial success.
• Analyze financial data describing revenue, costs, assets, and liabilities, and generate a balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports that explain the present and forecast financial situation of the firm.
• Compile and evaluate financial data to create general ledger account entries that reflect corporate activities.
• Active involvement with operational management to identify underlying business concerns and ensure IFRS compliance of product line financial reporting.
• Each product line has its own monthly management reporting package, which includes comments on the underlying reasons of performance as well as financial statements (income statement and balance sheet).
• Attend product line team meetings on a regular basis to stay up to date on the company’s priorities, as well as to build connections with other members of the team. Preparation and presentation of needed monetary information
• Ensure that accounting and control processes are documented and implemented in a timely manner. Provide guidance and assistance to franchisees and employees on the best practices and processes for using industry software accounting.
• Upkeep of corresponding financial control procedures and necessary balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Perform additional responsibilities as requested. It’s possible that some of these responsibilities will fall within the purview of other job titles.
• External audits benefit from the creation of consolidated quarterly financial reporting, additional schedules, and related documents.

Skills:

• A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a closely related subject is required for this position.
• In Microsoft Office, having a solid understanding of Excel is a must. Advantages include knowledge of Hyperion and SAP. Being able to work under pressure while managing a diverse and large number of internal customers is an absolute need.
• It would be helpful if you knew how to use Microsoft Navision (NAV), Dynamics NAV General Ledger, and/or Onestream.
• Accounting experience of one to three years is necessary, with cost accounting expertise desirable.
• Worked in varied communities that included individuals of different ages, genders, sexual orientations, national origins, economic levels, abilities, religious affiliations, races, and languages.
