Qualifications:

• To manufacture the required quantity of parts with the required accuracy and efficiency, it is necessary to carry out complex procedures.
• Wear protective clothing and adhere to all relevant safety procedures, including those pertaining to Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO), Fall Protection, and Confined Spaces (PPE)
• Inspect completed units for defects and adherence to specifications using precise measurement.
• Prepare for proper and secure equipment operation by disassembling and reassembling it.
• The production of high-quality parts requires close collaboration between programming engineering and the manufacturing sector.
• It’s important to find and fix flaws in your processes, supplies, apps, machines, and part specifications. Recognize opportunities to enhance machine performance by modifying component specifications and recommending implementation.
• Reading and following verbal and written instructions and guidelines is the foundation of effective planning and organization.
• working with machinery like lathes, mills, and grinders
• Examine the parts of a prototype, as well as any relevant engineering drawings or plans, to determine the optimal methods and order of operations for manufacturing the product, as well as its final dimensions and tolerances.
• The machinist uses various machinist’s hand tools and precise measuring equipment to set up and operate manual and CNC machine machines.

Skills:

• Expertise in using and programming a wide variety of manual, semi-automatic, and automatic tools and machinery (lathes, grinders etc.)
• The skill to take accurate measurements with laboratory equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers, drop gages, and gage blocks).
• You need either two years of experience or an associate degree to get a job in mechanical or automotive engineering.
• A background as an Industrial Machinist, with knowledge of metalworking qualities and a familiarity with machine technology, construction, operation, and power/control devices.
• Work in extreme heat, which could reach over 120 degrees Fahrenheit in the summer.
