Job Description

The HR Specialist will be in charge of the HR department’s day-to-day operations, including new hire processing and drug screening, facilitation of orientation and guest service training, management of the employee information system, including data entry and reports, upkeep of all employee files/records retention, and employment verifications.

Qualifications:

  • Timely and within approval authorization, processes performance reviews, wage/salary transactions, and disciplinary actions in the Company’s HR information system.
  • Employee-related issues and concerns will be addressed by the HR Generalist, who will also maintain constant communication with facility management and Corporate HR. The major purpose is to guarantee that the company’s employees have positive working relationships.
  • Processes leave of absences in the Company’s timekeeping system and ensures that FMLA, ADA, and other federal, state, and local requirements are followed.
  • Performs onboarding for new employees, which includes inputting data into the HR Information System and offering new employee orientation. Ensures that data is input accurately and completely, and that employees are familiar with company regulations and procedures, including the material in the employee handbook.
  • Responds to employee personnel inquiries and inserts, updates, additions, and removals into the HR Information System as needed. Reports odd or intractable circumstances to the HR Manager, who will intervene if necessary.
  • Maintains records of insurance coverage, retirement plans, and personnel transactions such as hiring, promotions, transfers, performance evaluations, terminations, and other personnel and payroll concerns, as well as other financial activities.
  • Supports local recruiting and outreach efforts in coordination with the centralized recruiting team to meet or exceed monthly and annual recruitment targets. Ensures a positive candidate experience for both hiring managers and current employees, as well as an efficient process.
  • Employees are provided with information on the company’s human resources rules and procedures (e.g. Time Off with Pay, Tuition Reimbursement, etc.).
  • When communicating with internal and external partners, clients/customers, the ability to exude confidence, knowledge, and empathy is essential.
  • Preparation of regular and special reports based on vital trend analysis and identification of issue areas with a low margin of error and high priority

Skills:

  • Communication skills are essential.
  • It is necessary to have a college or university degree in human resources, labor relations, employment law, or a related discipline.
  • Passionate problem solver who pays great attention to client indicators and attempts to handle issues in a polite and transparent way.
  • Human resources principles, policies, procedures, and basic employment rules must all be thoroughly understood.
  • Candidate must have a strong desire to learn and grow their skills, as well as a strong sense of responsibility and leadership.
