Job Description

A Cook’s primary task is to plan and prepare nutritious meals for guests. Cooks are in charge of the kitchen’s daily operations, which include making orders, cleaning and maintaining equipment, and adhering to all food safety regulations. This role would be best suited to someone who is well-organized, self-motivated, and has prior culinary experience.

  • Meets scheduling availability needs, including nights, weekends, and holiday times, in order to satisfy company expectations.
  • The Cook must be meticulous, well-dressed, professional, and a team player who collaborates well.
  • A cook is responsible for the set-up, food preparation, organization, sanitation, and production of food and beverage items, as well as the closing and storage of each work station.
  • In the absence of the Head Chef or Sous Chef, assumes leadership responsibility for ensuring safe and efficient kitchen operations.
  • Assist with the operation of cleaning equipment and dishwashing machines as needed to ensure the cleanliness of all kitchen areas, tools, and utensils.
  • Arranges and cleans all kitchen spaces, such as storage shelves, passageways, workstations, walk-ins, refrigerators, and coolers.
  • Prepare monthly and annual cash flow forecasts, as well as short and long-term cash management plans.
  • Produce high-quality hot and cold meals according to the Executive Chef’s instructions.
  • You must be able to lift up to 20 pounds, push/pull up to 40 pounds, and carry up to 30 pounds while standing and walking.
  • This person examines items, studies menus, estimates food requirements, verifies production, and keeps records in order to efficiently plan production requirements and request supplies and equipment.


  • The capacity to prioritize tasks and collaborate with a diverse group of supervisors.
  • Experience as a Cook in a high-volume, fast-paced kitchen for at least one year is required.
  • GED or equal to a high school diploma.
  • All state-mandated health department and food safety standards, as well as the Executive Chef’s expectations, such as HACCP and ServSafe concepts, must be followed.
  • Unless federal, state, or provincial legislation prohibits it, if you are 18 years old or older, you must be able to pass a background check as needed by Company policy, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, prior employer, education, and personal references.
