Qualifications:

• Maintaining the heating boilers and their associated equipment such as radiators and their associated valves and pipe circulators, air compressors and their associated steam traps Upkeep of all systems for changing the air.
• Assembles and installs valves, pipe fittings, and pipes made of metals such as iron, steel, brass, and lead, and nonmetals such as glass, vitrified clay, and plastic.
• Maintains assigned plumbing equipment by performing routine inspections, preventative and corrective maintenance, repairs, adjustments, testing, and troubleshooting in accordance with plumbing codes, diagrams, operation manuals, and manufacturer’s maintenance instructions. Schedules and keeps accurate records of all work performed.
• It is important to provide great customer service by responding to requests in a timely way (according to priority deadlines), explaining the status of the work to the client, and then following up after the job has been completed.
• Regularly checks for leaks and conducts leak detection tests; solders or brazes tubing and pipe; pours lead joints and seats machinery; installs and repairs a wide variety of complex couplings, unions, joints, etc. Work is done in line with manufacturer specifications by utilizing approved techniques as well as testing equipment to install or replace water heater components.
• Using hand and power equipment, cuts apertures in walls and floors to allow pipe and pipe fittings. Utilizes pipe cutters, a cutting torch, and a pipe-threading equipment to cut and thread pipe. Pipe is bent to the specified angle using a pipe-bending machine or by laying the pipe over a block and bending it manually.
• A plumber installs, modifies, and repairs plumbing using techniques such as main line location and taping, system routing, opening placement and cutting, and the installation of hangers. When pipes are appropriately sloped and leveled, the need for valves, traps, and unions becomes evident. This makes the system more efficient. Repair, repair, and install backflow prevention devices in accordance with municipal ordinances.
• Observes plumbing systems and fixtures for failures or malfunction reasons. Removes broken pieces from gadgets. Checks used components and equipment for calibration, dimensions, and manufacturer’s specs. Tests and calibrates systems and equipment to guarantee correct functioning.
• Plumbing systems and equipment must be planned and laid out in accordance with construction designs, blueprints, and drawings. Completion of system routing and placement; installation, connection, and testing of equipment systems. Determines which components are required to finish the project. In the walls and floors, pipes and their connections are marked with colored dots.
• Inspect, repair, maintain, install, or remove plumbing-related equipment (including dining specific equipment).

Skills:

• a working knowledge of plumbing techniques and regulations, The ability to understand building regulations and the ideas and practices of building maintenance Water and plumbing system knowledge and skills are required.
• There must be proof that the candidate has successfully completed a four-year approved apprenticeship program, which resulted in their appointment as a journeyman plumber.
• Must be able to physically operate from roof tops (vents) to sewage ditches and manholes, in pipe spaces between walls and crawl spaces beneath buildings.
• Knowledge, talents, and physical traits required to carry out the fundamental duties of the profession, including but not limited to the interpretation of blueprints and engineering drawings, the performance of mathematical calculations, and the appropriate use of hand- and power-tools.
• The equivalent of a high school graduation in education, training, and experience. A technical degree from an approved institution or university is desirable.
