We need a plant electrician. This person plans, layouts, and installs, maintains, and repairs electrical equipment and circuits. This person installs, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs electric motors, AC/DC drives, high voltage circuits, etc.

Qualifications:

• Uses effective teaching techniques and resources that aid students in reaching course goals, are acceptable for students with various educational and experience backgrounds and learning styles, and interest the students in the learning.
• Through a process of self-evaluation and self-reflection, reviews, evaluates, thinks about, and changes program curricula and teaching methods. Meets or exceeds professional standards, state-mandated guidelines, business/industry requirements, and higher education requirements, as they apply to the field.
• Assemble resources and techniques for assessing student progress, and use the results to inform future teaching strategies and curriculum. Teaching techniques and disciplines are kept up-to-date via professional development programs.
• Utilize an assortment of tools and equipment, including power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, and testing equipment, such as circuit tracers, volt meters, megger, proximity testers, and ohmmeters.
• You are responsible for maintaining a safe working environment and informing your immediate supervisor of any violations of company policies or procedures.
• Testing devices such as ohmmeter, battery and buzzer as well as oscilloscope should be used to verify circuit continuity and assure electrical compatibility and safety of the component parts.
• Install, repair, or replace electrical wiring, equipment, components, and fixtures using hand and power tools, depending on job requirements, electrical drawings, and local standards.
• Inspect and troubleshoot electrical systems, equipment, and components to detect risks, faults, and the need for modification or repair, as well as to assure compliance with electrical codes and safety regulations.
• The electrical code is used to diagnose and resolve basic electrical wiring / circuitry issues, install and repair electricity and wiring, rough in feeders, branch circuit cables and circuits, splice electric or communication cables/trunk lines, and trim out (finish) electrical devices.
• According to specifications and local electrical regulations in the region, it’s essential to design new or updated installations to reduce waste and give access for future maintenance, as well as to eliminate hazardous and unreliable wire.

Skills:

• Knowledge of electrical systems and components that operate at different voltage levels Commercial electrical expertise and a current driver’s license are also required.
• High school graduation or GED plus 7 years as a certified electrician. Apprenticeship recommended. DDC and EMS experience desired.
